Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia
Freemasonry in Murcia
Welcome
It is an honour to welcome you to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia, Grand Lodge of Spain, website.
We are part of the only Regular Freemasonry Order internationally recognized and, at the same time, the biggest in our country.
It is our goal that this virtual space will become a meeting point for Masons and non-initiated people.
For the Brethren of the Province of Murcia, in the private area, we will be posting updated information about the activities of the Provincial Grand Lodge and all the Lodges within the Province, as well as information of general interest and formation.
We want this site to be a reflection of our fraternal bound, a place where we can share experiences, learn and grow together on the path of perfection.
To the uninitiated, we extend our helping hand, inviting you to explore the values and principles that guide our Order, in search of the wisdom that only Freemasonry can offer. And we hope to give you all that general information you're looking for. However, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Always in an eagerness to serve those seeking personal growth, fraternity and light.
May the light of the Great Architect of the Universe illuminate our path and guide us in this noble task of building a better world.
Welcome to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia!
Fraternally.

History
The questions of when, how, why and where Freemasonry originated are still the subject of intense speculation. The general consensus amongst Masonic scholars is that it descends directly or indirectly from the organisation of operative stone masons who built the great cathedrals and castles of the middle ages.

About Freemasonry
Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations. Its roots lie in the traditions and ceremonies of the medieval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles. Some rituals are still celebrated today.
Freemasonry means different things to each individual – making new friends, contributing to society, celebrating a long tradition, experiencing personal growth, taking up a hobby, having fun.
